ROLE: wedding branding & stationery
Story time: this is arguably Design By Goats’ first ever project – and boy did Kate and Jeremy get a deal! Kinda-serious joking aside, the couple knew that they didn’t want a typical wedding invitation, as evidenced by Kate’s amazing and eclectic Pinterest board. We also knew that they both have a deep love for the Southern Oregon Coast – where Kate grew up and where their wedding was held. SHAZAM! Enter, super old maritime chart of Coos Bay that we found – so old that it was still spelled Koos Bay! Just add some bold letters, strong wedding colors along with a dash of humor. Give it a stir, let it simmer for while, then print.
The invitations, RSVPs, and thank-yous were all off-set printed with navy blue and silver. Kraft paper gave it all a rustic feel along with a bit o’ sparkle in that silver!
The save-the-dates were done well before any themes had been thought of, so we were just having fun with long exposure photo tricks after hours at Peninsula Park, Portland.
These guys did an exceptional job of translating my not-so-cookie cutter ideas and concepts for our invitations, save-the-date postcards, and thank-you notes to the unique and beautiful reality for which I had hoped. We worked really well together, and the experience was probably the lowest-stress parts of planning the wedding.
